Summer Solstice Fashion

December 21:Today is the official Summer Solstice in Australia.

We have given the trends for Spring from our last Men's Style Guide article - Spring Trend that Women like you to Wear.

While clothings like polo shirts and relaxed jeans are staples of summer wear every year, each summer also brings with it a set of unique seasonal looks. This summer, it's all about pastels, neutrals, and tailored pieces.

This pastel pink suit was one from our runway collection label re-launched at MBFFB 2012

Now, this rad pink suit has come alive in a wedding inspirational shoot by The Wedding Harvest

In a season of blues, the solid cobalts and porcelain-plate blues were also right on trend.  Well, any plate blues will be perfect since it is a shade worthy of any season, emanating a classic and historic appeal that keeps it continuously in fashion.

Wil Valor Style Guide: Get ready for this Spring Carnival.

What are the current trends for this racing season for patterns, colours and fabrics?

Men’s racing fashion will always be about tradition but this year it’s with a modern twist and dandy appeal.

Men's hues take a bright and playful approach.  Trend report says blue is the colour for Summer/Spring 2012, with yellow and orange continuing to make a statement.

There is so much variation and choice this year, you should be able to find something that complements your personal style.

Principal print trends making waves right now:

Florals,

Yes! Men can wear floral patterns and remain masculine;

Polka Dot,

ensure the dots are small and the colours not too bright;

Paisley

Other trending patters include Geometrics and plaids.

The Mix: this time, it's about mixing formal with informal: luxury fabrics and eclectic pieces will be thrown together casually. Slightly more casual options will no doubt have you feeling more comfortable, while still looking good and no doubt catching the eye of some female fashionistason the field!

Your Signature Look Defined

    Signature look is an essential quality or characteristic which sets you apart.  Creating a signature look is something personal to you, makes you stand out in a crowd with your own unique flare.  Your personal style is something identical with you like a superhero’s costume or a company logo.  And, it is not just for women, men too can have a signature look that says much about their personality and create ensembles uniquely theirs.

But why is men’s signature look so important?

     People who thrive in business are the ones who naturally market themselves to the right people in the right way. Not everyone knows who you are, and since that means they probably have no idea what you do and how good you do it, it’s vital for you to give your skills a bit of recognition. By developing your signature look you’ll have control over people’s initial perception. Image is still everything.

    Choosing a signature look may seem daunting and you are likely to struggle to come up with something which is organic, striking but at the same time versatile and practical.

The "Tony Spark" Style

Billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, played by Robert Downing Jr., sure knows how to channel his rich and powerful playboy stature through his awesome wardrobe. Aside from his Iron Man suit, his “other” suits are also praise-worthy which lands him a spot as a fashion icon. In the Avengers movie, his flamboyant yet sophisticated style is exposed in his choice of clothes. Stark’s wardrobe comprises of elegant suits matched with stylish printed ties. RDJ managed to wear the pieces exceptionally well. Here are some top looks from the movie: In this scene Stark wears a black coat over a navy blue shirt. The polka dot tie in hues of pink and blue gives the dark tones a softer look.

We often see Stark in darker shades of clothing but in this one he plays off a grey suit over a lavender shirt with a purple tie.

Here Stark wears a classic tuxedo piece for a more formal business look.

Anyone can successfully pull off Tony Spark’s style in their wardrobe considering it comes with the attitude and confidence it requires.

Women Love Men in Pink Shirts

Pink shirts might help us men impress the right kind of woman.  I'm sure lots of women loved Brad Pitt with this full throttle pink suit.  But of course let's leave this look to this pretty guy.

Women like their men to be macho and confident without loosing their sensitive side. The easiest and most obvious way to show that is by wearing a shade of pink. Try a bright Coloured Check Shirt (with shade of Pink) paired with the sports jacket and jeans - just like one of our recent tailored shirts.

Or a Pink Bespoke shirt worn with a tailored grey suit.

You can be more daring and inventive with Hot Pink Tailored Check Shirt together with grey herringbone and hot pink check suit.

Gone are the days when pink is associated as girl's colour. Pink shirt is now considered strong and manly.  Plus it takes years off your age.  Interested in adding a pink shirt in your style? Lets Schedule an Appointment and talk what colours and style works for you.
